THE WAIT IS OVER! After 3 years of brilliant singles, unfuckwitable remixes, and an EP or two, Guy and Howard Lawrence are finally ready to unleash their debut LP. I first wrote about them back in 2011, and it’s amazing to see how far these youngsters (the younger Lawrence, Howard, was born in 1994) have come in just two and a half years.
While I’m physically restraining my fingers to hold back the wild hyperbole, at first listen, I can say that I haven’t been this impressed by ANY other album released this year. Waving goodbye to the pesky post-dubstep title, the Surrey-based duo pulls from dance, two-step, soul, deep house, hip-hop, pop, garage, and everything in between to create a compelling sound that is all their own. I just can’t recommend this strongly enough.

Still not convinced, check out the clip for the searing new single, “When A Fire Starts to Burn.”
