Herb is one of those voices, and Fazoland is chock-full of razor-sharp couplets and illuminating insights into life on the Chicago streets. On the ravenous “On the Corner,” he gets a melodic assist from Chicago’s best rapper (Lil Durk) and fellow up-and-comer, KD Young Cocky, and it beautifully expresses the joy and pain that is inherent in all the young architects of America’s best music scene.
